Precision Pipes (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We only collect information we actually need to do the job:
- Contact details — your name, phone number, email address and the suburb or address where the work is required.
- Job details — what you have told us about the plumbing or gas problem, including any photographs you send us.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Website usage data — standard analytics such as pages visited and approximate location, collected in aggregate.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and quote the work.
- To carry out and invoice the work you have asked us to do.
- To meet our legal obligations, including lodging compliance certificates with NSW Fair Trading.
- To contact you about your job, warranty, or scheduled maintenance where relevant.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary: with NSW Fair Trading for compliance certification, with our insurer or your insurer where a claim is involved, with suppliers where a warranty claim requires it, and with our payment and accounting providers.
How we store it
Information is stored securely and access is limited to people who need it to do their job. We retain records for as long as required by law and for the period of any applicable warranty, then dispose of them securely.
Cookies and website analytics
We use the following services to understand how people find and use this website, so we can improve it and so we know which of our advertising is worth paying for. They set cookies and receive information about the pages you view and the actions you take on them — for example tapping a phone number or submitting the booking form:
- Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location (city level, from your IP address, which Google does not store), and whether you contacted us. Reporting only; we do not use it to identify you.
- Google Ads — records that an enquiry followed a click on one of our ads, so we can tell which ads produce work, and may show you our ads on other sites.
This service is provided by Google LLC, which is based overseas and may store this information outside Australia.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are treated differently: analytics and advertising storage are switched off for them by default and stay off. We do not ask those visitors for consent, and we do not set analytics or advertising cookies on their devices — only anonymous, aggregated measurements are collected.
You can opt out at any time. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings works, and the site will still function normally; Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. None of this is used to make decisions about you, and we never sell it.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
