Turramurra is a suburb of two halves and they fail differently. The streets around the station and the highway are interwar and Federation homes on level-ish blocks with original clay sewer and, in a lot of cases, the original cast iron stack still running up the outside wall. North and east of that, the land drops hard toward Lane Cove National Park and the blocks get bigger, steeper and more heavily treed.
