Blocked Drains Caused by Tree Roots
One common plumbing problem in Castle Hill is tree root infiltration. Castle Hill has many large gum trees, that, over time, grow into and crack pipes. We typically see old clay pipe systems installed in the 90s or beforehand, prior to PVC pipes becoming the standard. Symptoms of blocked drains are blocked and/or smelly drains, gurgling toilets, and slowing drainage. Special sewer CCTV cameras help us to identify the issue and solve the problem quickly, before any great damage is done.
Hot Water Heaters
Hot water systems typically last 10-15 years. If your hot water system is over 10 years old, leaking, rusty, or struggling to keep up, it could fail when you need it most. Get a quick repair or replacement and don't wait until you're having cold showers!

Sewer Dig Up in Castle Hill
At this Castle Hill residence, our customer experienced blocked drains and sewage flooding all through their house! As suspected, tree roots had infiltrated the clay pipes, allowing sewage to run freely through the main sewer. During our CCTV inspection, we found that this section of sewer is in very poor condition, with multiple cracks, displaced joints, and significant root intrusion throughout the line. Roots were entering the pipe at numerous locations and causing ongoing obstruction. Due to the condition and location of the pipework, the only practical method of accessing and repairing this section was to remove sections of the stone paving and excavate directly to the sewer line. The job was done within 2 days of first seeing the property, and we had a very happy customer indeed!
